King’s Road Park – AngelEye Installation

The Project

Once completed in 2022, King’s Road Park will transform a hidden part of London. King’s Road Park is the last project of its scale in the South Fulham Riverside Regeneration Area. Creating over 1800 homes, restoring two Grade II listed buildings and providing 100,000 sq. ft. of commercial space for an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars and offices.

SPSC are tasked with delivering a safety system that seamlessly integrate with the stunning communal pool. The aim is to ensure that staff can remain mobile while residents benefit from around the clock monitoring of the pool. SPSC are working closely with the architects, pool designers and contractors on integrating the latest in drowning detection technology, AngelEye, within the build.

Our Solution

SPSC have provided and installed 4 underwater AngelEye cameras to monitor below the surface of the rooftop pool, in addition to 2 above water video cameras; as per the request of the client remote access capability was enabled, including a palm device and smart watch for responders.

With the prestige and architectural ingenuity of the Shard Place, it was imperative the systems were installed with minimal interference to the aesthetic of the venue – for this reason the solutions provided were non-invasive to preserve the ambience of the pool area, whilst providing an extra layer of protection to swimmers.

SPSC are proud to be able to support and assist the safe use of such a prestigious venue, whilst the clients stated a Drowning Detection System was a must, we are delighted we could provide such a comprehensive service, whilst adhering to the elegant vision of The Shard; providing safety for swimmers and much needed mobility for members of staff.
